Our Mission: SeaWiDS is a supportive community that focuses on inspiring and empowering women in data science through professional development, knowledge sharing, and mentorship.

'Seattle Women in Data Science' was founded in February 2018 by Mahnaz Akbari with the intention to create a safe and welcoming space for women in data science to connect and excel together. Although our events are open to everybody, we host only female/non-binary speakers to highlight the role of this group in this field.

If you would like to volunteer and join our community, please reach out to the event organizers! Or fill in this form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeOhj5qisFM90pB1-e2DGSPYdbYJ5XwxErLbMQQzGAgNP2gtw/viewform?usp=sf_link
